Dr. McDowell is a Certified Chiropractic Sports practitioner and has completed extensive postgraduate training in the field of manual medicine and rehabilitation. What to Expect:
After an individualized, detailed evaluation, the doctor develops a plan of care to suit the specific needs of the patient. We emphasize a “hands-on” approach with a commitment to patient education and injury prevention. Our treatment approach may include the following:
• MANUAL THERAPY: Soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, positional release.
• EXERCISE: Customized stretching and strengthening programs with an emphasis on “function”.
• MODALITIES: Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, interferential current, paraffin treatments, hot packs, and cold treatments.
